Wild Spirit

Can’t get enough of the Kerrighan sisters! I was hooked after reading the first two books, and I was interested to see how the author would continue the series since the first two books were very connected with their storylines. In the previous books, Omar was assigned as protection for Lily, and she fought him every step of the way because she was so attracted to him. When Lily finally decided to make her move on him, she sees him in a compromising situation and it causes her to run from Omar for months, until they both end up involved in a bank robbery and she is taken hostage and he gets shot. Using her survival tips that he instilled in her during the situations with his sisters, Lily attempts to escape multiple times, albeit unsuccessful, but when her family makes a plea for her return, her kidnappers work to release her. The story continues when after she is rescued, Lily finds out that the actual kidnappers escaped, and now her and her family become sitting ducks yet again. Deciding to actually give a relationship a go after her rescue, she stays with Omar as a way to protect her family, and also get to know him outside of being her protector. I loved every step of this story and couldn’t get enough, especially when trying to figure out who the kidnappers were and the reasoning behind the heist, as well as the capture of the actual kidnappers. I’m so sad that this author isn’t continuing this series – I hope that she will return to it in the future! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the third installment in the Soul Sisters series but it can be read as a standalone. This is the story about Liliana Ramirez-Kerrighan, a high school Spanish teacher, and Omar Alavarado, her bodyguard who was hired to protect her from the crazies who have been after her sisters. Let’s just say that Omar takes his job of protecting Liliana’s body very seriously!!! I have read each of the stories in this series and have fallen in love with the Kerrighan family. This group of strong, loving, independent women that Mama Kerry raised will inspire you. Seeing their love and support for each other just gives you all the feels. Wild Spirit starts off with Liliana and Omar being at the wrong place at the wrong time. What should have been a simple trip to the bank, turned into a bank robbery and kidnapping. This story kept me on the edge of my seat! Between wondering what would happen to Liliana, and then the passion between her and Omar, I just couldn’t put this book down! This book has it all! I really hope Audrey will continue writing about the Kerrighan sisters in some way. Even if it’s just a final book about the remaining sisters because I just love this family!

4.5 stars. This is the third book in the Soul Sister series. It is a stand alone, but I think it is better read in order. We met Liliana and Omar in the previous books and could see the sparks between them flying from the very beginning. Once again, like the other books in this series, it grabs you from the beginning and will make you want to keep reading until it is finished. I loved seeing Liliana and Omar’s relationship grow and enjoyed the twists and turns in the story. I also continue to enjoy the interactions with the all of the sister in addition to Omar’s family. Another great story.

Her spirit was wild and untamed and she would do anything to protect her sisters. They were the one she hugged a little tighter each night since the recent tragedies threatened to tear them apart. Liliana tried desperately to fight the attraction she felt for Omar and as her bodyguard he felt the instant connection. Her spirit will ultimately save her life giving her the chance she denied herself for far too long. I absolutely adore the connection the sisters have and the love they have for one another. Such an amazing series!

Wild Spirit is a suspense full of sass, life changing moments and passionate love as the twists and turns kept me turning the pages begging for more. Omar and Liliana are a forest fire you can’t put out and I loved them from beginning to end. Lily is a firecracker and she won’t be stifled or controlled by any man. She is strong-willed, determined, smart and will tell it like it is. But she is also sensitive, loving and adorable. Omar is the sexy, loyal strong protector who fans Lily’s flames, makes her wild side shine, but is also the calm to her storm. I adored both of their families and I think they met their match. You need to read this book for the necklace, the church, the boat, the ring, the nail clippers and the zoo alone. Wild Spirit is a page-turner full of selflessness, strength, hope and feistiness that will keep you on your toes and you won’t want it to end!!! Tracey, Life Reads With Friends

Picking up where Wild Beauty left off, sparks were flying from the beginning between Omar and Liliana. He is protective, stubborn and persistent while she is strong minded, passionate and a risk taker. They soon find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. ..in the middle of a bank robbery! Wild Spirit will take you on a wild ride and a HEA. What a great addition to the Soul Sisters series!

Go! Go get this series, block off all the days because you won’t be able to put it down. Wild Spirit is the third novel in the Soul Sister series and it’s getting a 5/5 from me! I recommend reading the series from the start. Audrey does it again with Wild Spirit, but this time with more spice. Liliana is a fiery, spice, Latina woman who is not too kind on the idea of a bodyguard. Well, maybe one specific bodyguard named Omar to be specific. 

Omar has been assigned to protect Liliana after some crazy things have happened to her sisters. However, Omar also has a plan to do more than protect her; he plans to make her his. Liliana has no plans to become a woman of the house, waiting on a husband hand and foot. No, she has goals and plans and none of them include Omar.
 All that will change though when they run into each other again during a bank robbery.
