Description

He’s grumpy. Older. An ex-con. Did I mention I’m totally hot for him? After a near fatal run-in with the cartel, I turn to Viper for protection. He’s muscle for his motorcycle club, and the next thing I know I’m living in a biker clubhouse with my own personal bodyguard. Viper makes me feel safe…and desired. No wonder I can’t keep my clothes on around him. The club welcomes me as one of their own, but the timing couldn’t be worse. Now I’m caught in a war between the club and a cartel. This wasn’t supposed to be my life. But the longer I stay with Viper, the more I realize neither of us want to say goodbye. Viper wants to keep me. Forever.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Trope: Protector, opposites attract Angst: 2/5 Smexy: 3.5/5 Sutton Wood's world takes a sharp turn when she's attacked in her home, even as she survives with the help of her frying pan. When she turns to her neighbor for help, her neighbor's friends at a local motorcycle club know how to clean up the mess that's left behind and take her to safety. Enter Viper, the man tasked with keeping an eye on her. Older, grumpy, and a hot, thick tree Sutton wouldn't mind climbing. Their relationship is only supposed to be temporary, but with the club staring down the Cartel and bullets flying, it may be too hard to say goodbye. Fracking fantastic! Venom and Vengeance is definitely on my faves of 2023 list. Great storyline that is well written, moves quickly, and has a ton of action. Tons of witty dialogue that had me literally laughing out loud. Sutton was hysterical. She's only 22, but lived plenty of life preferring to ride things out with snark and humor. Viper just doesn't know how deal with her and the stoic, grumpy man can't help but crack a smile, almost breaking his face, lol. The chemistry between them was super hot and their relationship made sense as well progressed logically despite how quickly they got together. Just a fantastic read! Venom & Vengeance is the 5th book in the Tarnished Angels Motorcycle Club and can be read as a standalone, but best enjoyed when read in series order. It is told in first person, from Sutton's perspective, except for the epilogue which is from Viper's. Can't wait until the next book is out!

This story of Sutton and Viper is absolutely fantastic! Their chemistry is off the charts from day one, and you can’t help but want them to make it official ASAP! Emma knows how to make a page turner and she definitely has done that here (yet again). Can’t wait for the next book of Tarnished Angels!
  • Emma Slate: Queen of MC romance

I love Emma Slate. I love the Tarnished Angels MC (formerly Blue Angels MC). Not a huge fan of the age gap romance where it’s always pointed out that there’s a gap. But I also didn’t like friends to lovers romances either and Willa & Duke’s story was amazing. So maybe I don’t really know what I like anymore. And that’s all because of Emma Slate. She’s the queen of knowing what we need/want before we know what we need/want. Sutton and Viper’s story was so good. There were parts that were incredibly sad and I had a really hard time turning the page when I knew what was coming. I legit gasped “no!” out loud and couldn’t/wouldn’t turn the page for at least three minutes. That wasn’t cool at all Emma! It can be made up to me by giving me their story. And a Three Kings series. I loved Sutton’s sass. I always try to connect someway with the h of the story, but I often found myself thinking “that’s something I would say!” after one of her quips. In crazy situations I often make jokes because if I’m laughing, I’m not crying. But I digress. I also loved Viper’s hard candy shell and cinnamon roll interior. Swoon. The fact that he was up front with her, told her the truth - or as much of it as he could - and didn’t sugar coat things…well it’s just not something you see normally in romances these days and it was refreshing. I think that’s why I’ve loved almost everything Emma Slate has written (except the spider one, not the weirdest book I’ve read but definitely cracks the top 20 for sure). Her characters are strong, funny, steadfast, and they don’t play games with the ones they love. I can’t wait for the next book!! 10/10

This book I couldn’t put down. It is a must read of the series. Sutton we meet had a crazy time and scary time. She meet her match in Viper. I love seeing them grow as a couple and make a life for themselves. You do need tissues for this book.

Venom and Vengeance starts off with a bang. We immediately meet Sutton who defends herself from an attack as she seeks help from her neighbor and friend, she meets Savage from Tarnished Angels MC. He checks out the situation at her home and realizes it’s more than a random attack it’s the Cartel that they have been dealing with. Sutton is immediately under the MC’s protection with silent Viper as her bodyguard. To the amazement of the Club and their Old Ladies, the banter and attraction between the two is off the charts. You get to revisit with other members of the MC and enjoy the natural way they interact with each other. It was a fun read as Sutton really has no filter when speaking. I was laughing throughout the book.

Viper and Sutton relationship build a great story from start to finish. The banter was chefs kiss. When they finally got together it was explosive. It had high but also lows too bring the tissues. This gang gets better and can’t wait for what’s to come.

Emma does not disappoint in this series. Full of steaminess and sass. The author takes you through the throws of another tarnished angels story along with two with a past that find each other unexpectedly and when fireworks ignite you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait for the next in this series!!!
