Description

From Wall Street Journal Best Selling Author, Willow Winters comes a steamy, small-town romance.

A drunken bet that led to a fake relationship? My naive little heart still hoped it would last...
We were never meant to be together.
He’s a bartender with noncommittal tendencies.
I’m looking for … the opposite. Commitment. Period.
But drinks and a bet led to something it shouldn’t have: a fake relationship. Worse, a first date, a first kiss… and then more.
He’s addictive and I can’t bring myself to accept the reality.
That it’s all a lie and I’m fooling myself by thinking he could want more. That I could change him.
He’s mine for as long as I keep on pretending like this is just for fun.
As if I don’t want more…
Like when he whispers my name, I pretend it doesn’t make my heart flip.
Like when he holds me at night, I pretend I don’t want to lay in his bed every night.
It's just a bet; just a lie . . . until it isn't.

It was a good fluffy light story with no real stress on the situation. I enjoyed the soft story of grace and Charlie. Charlie was easily enough to convince that life was going to move on accordingly. Grace’s expectations of being a 30 year old woman an only wanting a child an solid career and husband isn’t uncommon but to be almost 30 myself and my main character feeling incomplete and inadequate because that was a little disappointing.

I read this book in a couple hours. I was so incredibly hooked and I haven’t been that hooked in a book in a long time. I didn’t want to put it down. I recommend reading this book but be aware that you might be so focused in it that you won’t put it down till your done!

I’m in love with Willow Winters’ books, and Knocking Boots is no exception. I loved this friends to lovers romance. This is an unputdownable, fun, flirty, and delightful slow-burn story that summed up so succinctly the very essence of romance. It was such a great read. I am not kidding, this book was everything. All the things—witty banter, humor, angst, emotions, and all of the steam. And the characters? OMG—talk about Charlie! Charlie owns a bar, is very swoon-worthy, sexy as hell, handsome, and an eligible bachelor who does not want to get married or any kids because he was burned from a previous relationship. Grace is the complete opposite—she is independent, goal oriented, has a great job, wants a husband, home, and kids—kid(s) is her priority before her biological clock runs out. Grace stops in Charlie’s bar most nights from work so that he can fix her different drinks, talk about her problems, so they became friends. Since Charlie’s sister is getting married and in order to keep family off his back, he makes a deal with Grace to pretend to be his fake girlfriend. The chemistry between them is off-the-chart hot. They will fascinate you and frustrate you at the same time, but the banter was everything. This book left me wonderfully content at its conclusion, and I can reread this book over and over again. Willow Winters manages to weave humorous plot lines centered on romantic ideas with artfully developed main characters. The storyline is fluid, and it will pique your interest.

It wasn't exceptional but it wasn't bad as well. If you're looking for a light read, nothing perfect, then it's not a bad choice.

This is a sweet but steamy romance between a girl and a guy in a bar. One is dealing with issues from their past, while the other is dealing with issues from the present. The question becomes will they have a future together. It’s a friendship that turns into so much more. I thoroughly enjoy reading everything from this author! This is one of her more lighthearted, feel-good books with a little bit of steam. It’s an easy read that will having you crying but leave you smiling in the end.
