Description

“Turn. Up. The. Heat” (New York Times) with this psychological thriller. New York City detective Michael Bennett faces his most terrifying killer ever. It could be anyone. They could be anywhere.

A killer uses fearsome precision to take out impossible targets.

Detective Michael Bennett teams with a shooting expert—a former Army Ranger and sniper with NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit. But Officer Rob Trilling seems more comfortable with rifles than he is with people.

When his new partner begins to log unexplained absences from duty, only Bennett can prove whether the decorated officer is a lonely hunter or a hardened assassin.

Great read Trilling should be a regular. Really like his character.

It’s not just the storytelling but also his read on life that just enhances his books as he winds life lessons into his story. I am better for reading his books, one for the enjoyment of a good yarn and the other for what he teaches me. Well done.

3/5 Stars Enjoyable characters, weird jump around plot. Would not recommend. Patterson has gotten lame since he started teaming up with another author. Hal R Troy, MI

I love this series of books. The 10 kid family, the priest grandfather, the hero Michael Bennett and the introduction of a new partner with a military background. Now if they could publicly new ones ever 6 months, I would be an ecstatically happy fan.
  • Intriguing and interesting at the same time

The intriguing part as with all James Paterson books is that you never know the actual end. With this book I was intrigued by the family as well as the crime .
