Seriously good book, but with a lot of death, violence, torture, that tempers the humor and goodness of the characters. Superb writing, to the degree it makes one jealous of the give and take of close friends, able to poke fun at each other and themselves. Some strong social messages pumping through the veins of the book that brings out your humanity.

Fair reading but hard for me to keep involved with the story. The TV show is better entertainment.

I loved reading Louis L'Amour as a young man. This western is more modern and more of a mystery but has a similar touch. I enjoy it and will get the next book in his series. I also would love to visit Wyoming because of these stories.

Great story line. It was hard to put down. Craig Johnson has a rare ability to develop his characters in the style of Robert B. Parker.
