Description

To have found God and still to pursue Him is a paradox of love, scorned indeed by the too-easily satisfied religious person, but justified in happy experience by the children of the burning heart. Saint Bernard of Clairvaux stated this holy paradox in a musical four-line poem that will be instantly understood by every worshipping soul:
We taste Thee, O Thou Living Bread,
And long to feast upon Thee still:
We drink of Thee, the Fountainhead
And thirst our souls from Thee to fill.
Come near to the holy men and women of the past and you will soon feel the heat of their desire after God. Let A. W. Tozer’s pursuit of God spur you also into a genuine hunger and thirst to truly know God.
About the Author

The truth in which I have found hope in through this book is that we will all go through circumstances, and we are called to face our eyes and minds towards Christ for what His truth will do is set us free to newer capactiites then we can ever understand.

There were definitely some good and encouraging points made in this book, but I got bogged down in reading it after awhile. I had to force myself to finish it.

That God is with us always in a spiritual reality is a concept I never considered before. Heart, Soul, & Spirit surrendered to God, the “I” in my life’s journey has changed. All Glory and Worship to the Awesome “I AM”. Inspiring and thought provoking.

A good read, but you do not really know the Catholic faith. We offer every second of our lives to God. We don't knock other religions either but we do fight evil as peacefully as we can. Fran

Thought provoking…convicting…challenging…reassuring…life changing, are all descriptions of this wonderful book. It requires multiple readings due to the depth of its content. I’ve read it 5 or 6 times, and I will begin it again very soon. The teachings are timeless and never get old or repetitive. I discover something new every time I read it!
